How to reload your gun (Grease Gun)

If you have read about my gun collection then you know that I have a few in my arsenal and have seen the pictures , and this is how you go about reloading your grease gun. Hope it helps even just a little eh .

Step 1

Get a rag. This is one of the most important and overlooked steps in the process.

Step 2

Clean the gun with the rag, wipe it down, clean the end and the hose.

Step 3

Unscrew the barrel and again use the rag to clean the threads of the barrel.

 

Step 4

Once separated pull the plunger all the way back and lock it (you can see the indent here) remove old cartridge.

 

Step 5

Separate the plunger and barrel and start your cleaning. 

 

Step 6

Repeat step 5 on the the rest of the gun. 

 

Step 7

Reassemble the plunger into the barrel.

Step 8

Insert new grease cartridge into the barrel , notice how the one end comes off like an aluminum beer can (subliminal drink beer message here) and is the end that goes up if you will.

Step 9

Screw barrel in the head only a couple threads and stroke the plunger rod all the way to the top a few time, screw the barrel in the rest of the way.

Step 10

Cycle the grease gun a couple times to purge the air out of the system and you are ready to go. 

Now I know that there are a few different ways that this can be done, this is the way I usually get it happening here.
